About IRLZ
Made for creators, by creators. IRLZ helps you find people nearby to create with, in real life.
Why we built it
Most platforms connect you with people all over the world. That's great for an audience, but when you need a camera operator for Saturday's stream or an editor you can sit next to, you need someone nearby. Finding them usually means scrolling hashtags and hoping.
IRLZ puts creators on a map. Open it, see who's around, check their work, and reach out. The best collaborations often start in person.
How it works
1. Apply
Pick a username and your roles (creator, editor, camera operator), add a bio, your home area, your best work and a short pitch, then send it. A person reviews every application.
2. Get on the map
Once you're a member, you appear to other members in your general area: a neighborhood (about 1 km), a city (about 5 km) or a region (about 40 km). You can take your pin off the map any time.
3. Meet up and create
There's no in-app chat: message people on the socials they list, plan a shoot, and meet somewhere public. Check our safety tips first.
What we stand for
Privacy first
IRLZ is for meeting people in real life, so we built it to protect where you live. Your device turns your position into a neighborhood, city or region before anything is sent, and that area is all we ever store. There's no “exact location” option, and you can take yourself off the map at any time. Your email address is never shown to anyone.
Real identities, not another inbox
There's no in-app chat. You reach people through the socials on their profile, where they already have a public identity and history. That keeps IRLZ simple and makes it easier to check who you're talking to.
Creators at every level
You don't need to be a professional or have a big following. If you create content, or want to, you belong here.
Who it's for
- Creators (streamers, YouTubers, TikTokers) looking for a camera operator, an editor, or another creator to collab with.
- Video editors who want local projects and creators to work with.
- Camera operators looking for IRL streams and shoots nearby.
Where we are
IRLZ is free and open to creators 18 or over, by application. We're still building. Today you can apply, and members can appear on the map, browse and filter other members, and block or report anyone who makes them uncomfortable. Live badges for Twitch, YouTube and Kick streams are coming soon.
